I came back home on a single engine Beaver Float plane today from Loran Station Shoal Cove. I was not due to arrive home until tomorrow and managed to get a seat on the inbound Beaver that a contracter had chartered. What a great flight...smooth ride and the pilot was excellent! I am taking another Beaver flight next month to the Island of Metlakatla to conduct eye screenings on native pre-school age children for the Ketchikan Lions Club. The island of Metlakala is considered an federal Indian reservation. Now that is flyin--- Alaskan style!
