Our KIDS

Well, to say the least this last year and a half has been amazing!! Christopher Damon is now almost 15months and doing great. I (Dani) have been teaching him signing language, so he knows and understands signs for many different words. For example, "more", "eat", "please", "thank you", "bird", "dog", "milk", "goodnight", and is working on "daddy" and "mommy".

I plan to utilize this knowledge and interest by offering workshops to parents in the Ketchikan community to teach them how to teach their babies sign language. The curriculum I will use contains 50 most popular baby signs. Signing helps to eleviate a lot of frustration by helping me to understand what he wants.

Damon also recently started using his verbal abilities to say "hot", "poddie", and sometimes, "daddy".

Kaili is a SENIOR this year and is doing well. She is so excited about being a Senior, but also stated an underlying feeling of sadness knowing that everthing she does in school this year will be the last time she does it (at the high school level). Anyone else familiar with those feelings? Nah, I didn't think so.....LOL

We are busy with lots of Senior stuff this year. SAT, Senior carnival in October, ordering caps and gowns, as well as announcements/invitations, and parents are asked to volunteer for several events throughout the year to help the seniors.
